Exterior
house painting in Baltimore is one of our most popular services, especially
this time of year. So we thought we would take the time to answer some of the
questions we hear the most about this type of professional painting service.
Q: How can I prepare
my home for my professional exterior house painting project?
A: It is a huge help when our clients help prepare their
homes for our visit. And before we come to your house for exterior house
painting, there are definitely a few things you can do to prep. One big thing
you can do is remove any lawn ornaments or decorations and put them somewhere
safe. While we always take great care to make sure we do not inadvertently
damage your belongings, accidents sometimes happen.
Also, make sure that any pets that are outdoors are kept
somewhere safe while we are painting. This is for everyone’s safety and
well-being. Finally, make sure any young children that live in your home are
told not to touch our equipment while we are there. Again, this is for everyone’s
safety and well-being.
Q: What are some of
the things your crew will do to prepare for my exterior house painting project?
A: We first lay down drop cloths over your plants and other
landscaping to make sure we don’t get paint on any of your flowers or shrubs.
We will then begin to scrape the old paint off of your home’s siding, if need
be.
After that, we will patch any holes and make sure the walls
are in good shape. From there, we apply a coat of primer if it is needed.
Finally, we begin applying as many coats of paint needed to ensure that your
home gets even coverage and that each wall and all of the trim looks great.
Q: How does Bay
Country Painters stand apart from the rest of the exterior house painting
companies out there?
A: Our team of exterior house painting professionals is
incredibly detail-oriented. After each coat of primer (if it is needed) and
paint, we take a step back and look at each wall as a whole. We make sure every
single part of it looks great and that the coats of primer and/or paint were
all evenly applied.
We then take it a step further and look at every part of the
wall and any trim that we painted carefully to ensure we did not miss any spots
and to make sure each wall and piece of trim looks great.
